MOSES FUND - Project # 2  (In memory of Moises Martins)

Global Portuguese Outreach has opened a special account in memory of Moises Martins. The funds donated to this account will be used in two ways:
1- To help needy kids get to camp in one of the portuguese speaking countries.
2- To help potential students from the worldwide portuguese speaking community  attend Bible school in preparation for future ministry in one of the 8 portuguese speaking countries. 

When contributing to the Moses Fund please specify if your gift is for needy campers or needy students.

2010 OUTREACH MINISTRIES - Project # 3

#1- Pastors Conference In Gorongoza, Mozambique.

Last year we held our first Pastors Conference. That experience resulted in us developing a 3 year Bible School curriculum that we will kick off this year. Because Gorongoza is the poorest state in Mozambique all of the pastors work full time in order to fund their living. Many of them will ride their bicycles up to 15 miles in order to attend. Classes will be two days per month with 8 hour days. (16 hours per month) Courses will be taught by local pastors coming from the major city of Beira, missionaries and visiting professors. Most of the curriculum is already set and we will be kicking this program off in June 2010. I will be going back to Mozambique June 1-14, 2010.

Cost for this trip is $3,200

# 2 - Sports Edition of the New Testament

Although we have shared our faith in many different ways sports evangelism

continues to be one of the main tools that we have used throughout our ministry. In January of 2010, the African Nations Cup will be played in Mozambique and then later in June the World Cup will be played in South Africa. Our passion is to use these sports events as a means to introduce the youth to the gospel. We have joined forces in printing a special edition of the New Testament that embedded among the scriptures are personal real life stories of different athletes that will be participating in those two tournaments. This special edition will also include a clear cut gospel presentation and how one can personally trust in Christ.

(Below you can see what the cover of the New Testament will look like. You will notice the title in Portuguese and it says, ?Winning is everything.? It?s a play on words that winning is everything not in the game of soccer but in the game of life!)
